At Jeevitham Trust Choolaimedu Chennai During the past 20 years I have been encountering countless street children and run-away children who experienced bitter childhood. I found, particularly, girl children the most affected and traumatized. Their vulnerability to become easy targets, their utter helplessness kept me thinking about how to make a meaningful and sustainable interventions in theirlives. One day, I went to see rani, whose mother was bedridden with cancer. When I entered the house, she just hugged me crying "AMMA". To my dismay, her mother just died. I left her home with heavy heart but with a determination to act and thus was born JEEVITHAM.
We, Jeevitham Trust Choolaimedu Chennai situated at Nungambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu was started in the year 2009 provide orphanage services to orphan, street children who belongs to different family backgrounds like father died, father is drunken and father or mother left children & living with other person, both parents died etc.
In this critical juncture we identified and bought the children to our orphanage.
We take care of all the needs of all our childrens.
And also we running working women hostel includes (food, CCTV Security, Fire Extinguisher) is called "PUTHU VASANTHAM"
